Well he’s changed it a bit. Still not sure if Wesley crapped in his tea or something mind you.

 

I'd have liked to see it changed up a bit more, but at least Gabbi is starting. Fingers crossed we start playing with some intensity before the 87th minute this week.

 

2 strikers, it's what we've all been calling for. Would like to see boufal in for Redmond

Just watching Virgil at the warm up. I wonder if we get wound up because we frame it as someone wanting to leave Southampton, whereas the reality is just ‘wanting to move to a big club’. So less anti-Saints, more pro-career.

 

Interesting to see what the formation is for that. Gabbi often played on the wing before he joined us, long has also played on the wing. could be 2 strikers or as the media person guessed, with Gabbi as an AM (though i'm doubtful).

I'm hoping for Tadic on the left, Redmond in the center Long on the right and Gabbi the striker. (only because thats the only way i can see Tadic being on the left!)

edit: Also if we have a formation with 2 strikers in the box, perhaps Pellegrino wont feel we need as much cutting inside and will ditch the inverted wingers and concentrate putting in good crosses so switch Redmond and Tadic anyway?

 

Yeah this is what I’ve never understood, and why I’m not bothered about anyone who has left. They don’t hate Saints they just want to leave to better and prestigious clubs, can’t really blame them

Actually looking again, I wonder if this a change in system or a straight swap Gabbi for Davis?

I'm hoping for the former but suspect it's the latter.
