More players in the box & less if the isolated striker; better. Sadly we still miss good opportunities & haven't hit the target.

 

I just can't understand with a stable of forwards about as varied as a bag of minstrels (no slight against any of them individually) how you can play two of them in any game you're not just looking to play rope-a-dope. Which is not even close to being the case here.

Our potential link-up play is basically down the wing or... Just hope?

Watching the game on Bein as usual and Andy Gray mentioned a conversation he had three years ago with Ray Clemence and RC expressed concern about FF; felt he was too tall to be a good keeper as he always looked slow getting up.

 

I agree with Redknapp ( pukes). All our forward players do the same ****. If things don't change Pellegrino will get booted soon sadly

 

Were definitely at least a couple of neat moments, but would be hard not to utterly control the game in their half and find some moments when I'm pretty sure Newcastle reckon they can play the numbers here, which of course say 1 is often enough at St. Mary's of late.

 

Our link up play is basically down the wing, hold it up long enough for all the defenders to get back and in position, cut back and loft a ball inside just behind our forwards so they have no chance to do anything with it.

 

Shot stopping he is brilliant. But yeah he dived and took a year to get up.

Or at least minor variations of the same ****. Most variety we have in that department is currently out on loan.

 

Again I agree, if you remember I was very supportive of Puel and didn't want him sacked.

But almost half the league would love the players we have and the squad is simply better than what is on show so far.

 

Still find it weird we loaned Gallagher after selling Jay.

Numbers wise we have enough without Gallagher and it is better for his development to be playing more regularly than he would've here. Problem is is that none of our attacking players are actually any good at attacking
