Also, I would rate Guly as man of the match as well.

Ok performance and we got the win,we'll take that.Think millwall will be one of our toughest games as they work very hard and give little space away.We can't win them all in style,i think it's just as impressive to win ugly games like that.Welldone saints!

i will agree with a lot of people and say guly was our man of the match, other than him ,davis and cork i thought we were pretty poor, but got the result nonetheless. Also de ridder looked very tricky and skillful when he came on

Great win, shows we can win ugly and the heat was a big factor in the second half. Was a bit frustrating to see us play so slowly and sit back, but defence did well with Richardson, Fonte & Seaborne all equal MOTM's for me. Cork just behind them with Lambert.

God knows whats going on with Hampshire Police. They didn't have many officers for the leeds game and looks like even less today. Why not do the old trick of keeping Millwall fans in for 10 mins whilst most fans disperse?

No doubt we'll have massive overkill at the Pompey games, but if the old bill don't realise that 1,500 Millwall fans will mean that at least 500 of them are more than up for a fight for no reason, they are more inept than I thought (although don't blame the officers on duty, just the senior officers who sit in the little booth thinking CCTV will do their job for them)

Just returned from match...great result but hope I don't go to one like that again soon. Millwall were better than I thought they'd be..not dirty but physical. Closed us down all the time and didn't let us get going which is the best way to beat us. Guly played well and scored a good goal. Lallana wasn't himself and Adkins said he took him off because he'd run himself into the ground. Davis played well. At the time I was suffering, but in retrospect it can be regarded as three points gained by us seeing out a game. An important lesson for players and fans alike.

Guly played well as was demonstrated by the fact he played the whole match. Adkins said they were tired and hot, so he's giving them Sunday off. We may benefit from not having a cup game next week. It shows that close us down and not give us room is the way forward for the opposition, but not all will have the physicality of Millwall. Getting three points from a game like that was an achievement.

If only you spent that time learning the English language it wouldn't have been so badly wasted.

Any reason this is on our board, urchin?

Is there no way of stopping this smug cross-board stuff appearing on the Pompey Board - I can't be the only Pompey Fan with this opinion.

NOT sour grapes - good luck to our Southern Geordies - but it's taking over the thread-list of late.......

Have to agree..no reason for it to be anywhere but the Saints board. Thanks for doing it though.

    Cork 6!!!!!!!!!!!

    What game were you watching?

A great through ball for the goal, battled hard in midfield, seldom gave away possession. The boy is pure class and he showed it in abudance today.

Looking at your ratings though it seems that unless we out-class the oppo and win by several clear goals the players don't deserve more than the standard score.

Sometimes you get teams that don't suit the way you play, we struggled against Millwall in League One and today was the same. They came with a game plan to not let us play our passing game and did that job for the most part. The positives are a very good goal and a battling performance to hang on to a clean sheet. How many times have Manure won without playing at their best over the years?, it is a very good habit to have. The team will have better days, but I thought that Cork was superb in the middle and has made a huge difference to the team, he is just the complete all round midfielder who can mix it and link up play too.

saw a bad millwall fan get beat up that was funny as he was starting on a load of saints fan.

also did anyone else see a woman in a flowery blue dress giving lip to all the saints fan and her husband backing her, i was shocked to see 50 year old spitting at people my age (17 years old).
