It looks that way. Seriously poor from Nige if that's the case. Gazza in my from what I've seen has done ok so to not only be dropped but to be double dropped to number 3 must be devastating for the young lad.
Could have done with Boruc for this one....to deal with the Leeds fans running on the pitch. ducks for cover
I posed it as a question- More as a discussion point. Although I personally think this action suggests that Gazza has found his way to third choice.
Gazzaniga has certainly played well for his age and experience, but I wouldn't say that he's been absolutely brilliant. He didn't do anything wrong, but I don't think SKD really did anything wrong enough to be relegated to third choice with no chance of moving up to first either. He let in a bunch of goals against some very good teams. Kelvin Davis has meant, and I would argue continues to mean a lot to the side. If Kelvin Davis and Gazzaniga are playing at equal levels, I would argue that Davis should start because of his leadership, and Gazzaniga should be getting spot starts here and there to gain experience while not exposing him to too much pressure early. The fans are already riding Boruc, I don't want to see Gazzaniga put under the same pressure. I have no problem with Gazzaniga being third choice temporarily as long as he's given ample opportunity to move up. I don't think Gazzaniga is buried so much as Adkins doesn't wants an experienced player as #2. So it's either #1 or #3 for him. I think Davis is getting a look right now because he and Boruc are in similar positions, and we don't need two of them so choosing between the two of them is more important. I think it is possible that if Davis performs well, Boruc might be on his way out or vice versa.
To be fair, I reckon Gazzaniga was signed to be a backup. He has a future, but for now yeah I'd say he's 3rd best.
Has anyone got a link to a feed for the radio...solent sport seem to have a bloke talking about country music
