11 changes from Sunday, I guess that's to be expected. Hopefully Leeds are playing a weakened team as well as that defence looks pretty feeble, though Lee and Mayuka up front could be interesting.

Reeves seems to be established ahead of Shaw in the left-back pecking order now.

No place for Boruc, wonder if that would have been the case anyway though.

Ok squad rotation it is. Not sure i understand the point but if we win and Nige learns something about his squad then ill be happy. If we lose and then make 10 or 11 changes for Mondays game i will start to believe that our Nige is losing the plot.

 

I don't think Nigel changing 10 or 11 of the faces out there tonight for Monday would make me think that. Why?

 

Why? It's logical, they only played a game 48 hours ago. No point tiring everyone out in the cup and being understrength for a more important game at the weekend is there?

 

I'd guess it's a front 3 of De Ridder, Lee and Mayuka. Could be interesting.

Leeds are probably changing things round too. The Championship fixture calendar doesn't let up.

I have a nasty feeling that this might be painful. Time for some of our fringe players to stand up and be counted.

 

Ok we need to learn to win again and to keep making wholesale changes is wrong. One of the reasons we got promoted last season was momentum. We only had this cause we were consistent. We were playing 2 or. 3 games a week with the same 12 or 13 players. We had a chance tonight to play a strong team and maybe try something different. Out of the 11 starting tonight I can only see 1 maybe 2 starting on Monday. How does that help our league form.

 

This could be their only chance to stake a claim ... although we said the same away at Palace this time last year, half the team were shipped out by January!
