Davis 8 Although a tad frustrating at times. Richardson 6 Seemed to be a bit off the pace. Some of his cross field balls left a lot to be desired. Fonte 9 Another outstanding display MOM for me. Seaborne 7 Didn't have to bad a game frustrating to see when in possession he sometimes moves to the left, taking the opposition with him. Then actually passes in the same direction so are shut down rapidly. (AKA seashell to me) Harding 7 Couldn't fault him put some excellent crosses in. Stephens 6 Didn't get into the game that much was too busy being tagged back in mid field. Hammond 6 Got caught in possession a few times and his distribution was off as well, a mixed sort of game. Lallana 7 Not his old self although he did have some baffling runs. Could have used other players better at times. Connolly 8 Showed his experience at times didn't stop running Could have been put through a couple times by Lallana. Lambert 8 Held the ball up well and was unlucky not to get a couple of goals some of his flicks did not come off. Guly 8 Had a good game was close to man of the march covered all over the pitch, must have been given a roving role. For the substitutes am a little reluctant to mark as were not on long enough. Chappers put himself about as usual and Martin was very composed at times. A very frustrating but commanding performance over all, I find it hard to believe Guly's goal was offside, as it seemed to be at worst in line with Lallana. To me it seemed the ball was cut back.
Well for me nothing could ever top the TV series. But I expect most people who know me, would think that anyway. Cue Neal Hefti.
Not at match but just watched extended highlights. We look such a dangerous team..such talent at this level. Definately worthy of the Championship. Was impressed with Guly..he was offside for part of the build up to his 'goal' but looked back on side before the ball was played. Harding was everywhere. As I said, just the highlights, but unless we were appalling for the edited bits (highly unlikely) we are strong enough to see this out.
