“Grimsby wages per week for the whole team 24k. None of the saints players on less than that. They should be embarrassed”. Don’t know if true but probably correct. Makes you think,
Anyone get a matchday experience survey? Complete imbeciles. Read the ****ing room. We're ****. The team is ****. It ain't improving. We don't give a **** about the experience, we don't give a **** about how friendly stewards are, the quality of food or the price of kit. It's corporate bullshit that most footballing fans don't give a **** about if the team is performing well.
At least Theo offered something last night and needs to be in the squad now. But it's getting really difficult with so many changes offering up unwelcome unpredicted outcomes, I almost feel for Selles as to what to do next with this lot.
I wonder if the Athletic will do a "Why Saints loss to League 2 Grimsby could, in fact, be good for the club" article.
How many other teams our size could manage to waste 20 million pounds on Carrillo, 15 million pounds on a total nut job who attacked fellow players. The list goes on and on. We had money enough to buy decent players but we wasted it.
Apologies O, meant to reply to your post 530, not edit it! All fingers and thumbs excited about the Leicester game.
Tbf to Saints, the experience is ****, the quality of food is ****, the kit and its price are ****. You can’t say they aren’t consistent. It might be secondary to the football, but the turnstile queues, dry hotdogs, zombie pitch and broken scoreboard really do consolidate the experience.
I am not blaming Ruben Selles for any of this, he has obviously inherited a shipwreck, it is going to take a real miracle to salvage anything from it, he gets my full support in the attempt.
