Ha! At about 11.40 there is quite a telling pause after he says "everybody gets more money". Saints are earning lots more cash, so can I spend it? To me it sounds like he never planned on staying more than three years, and he liked it that way in The Netherlands, but he gets why our board is now getting antsy and will consider a longer stay - if the incentives are attractive enough. Not a lot of Palace in there
Koeman on Bournemouth "We gave them three points earlier in the season, perhaps they can return the complement" What a wonderful philosophy Ron has on life. Well worth watching that press conference on how un-complicated life is if you honour your commitments(contracts).
What a great guy and so sensible....he will always give his best regardless of contract and he doesn't buy into the idea that players don't give their best for a manager on a short contract. Whilst I agree that some players are more likely to sign for certain managers, I have never bought into the idea that they spend a lot of time worrying about the managers when they run onto the pitch. They are pragmatic....the king is dead, long live the king. Players play for themselves, their team mates and the fans in that order. I am optimistic that he will sign an extension, but I don't fall into the wildly optimistic. He is very sensible and will give it his full consideration. Ideally he would prefer to go season by season (as he feels he gives his best every time anyway), but he understands the board have set out their plans and would like some continuity. However, remember Mourinho signed a long contract, then things went wrong and he was out...Ron is philosophical about that. In a way, he shares Adkin's view of life....dust yourself off and move on. If he doesn't sign a new contract, Ron is happy to stay for next year...will the board accept that? I would, because a lot can happen in a year, but I'm not the board. I think that it will come down to how interesting a future at SFC looks to Ron...can he see himself here for 3-4 years. He is willing to listen and I don't think he will keep us hanging....we will know shortly.
Poor Ledley broke his leg in the last game, so obviously won't be available to play us (or the FA cup final). That might have even more of an affect on the mentality of the Palace team. I fancy us to win in style here. Especially if the Suns a shining.
Agree, they'll have seen taht and think 'I don't want that to be me too' right before the Final (and Euros for some)
Shortest odds on Betfair exchange correct score betting is for us to win having scored more than three goals. Vin
Got to be playing first. Not sure he was even in the squad for the Spurs match. He's a yard or two down on pace. Needs a rest and pre-season.
Oi, I was about to say "pumped". I don't want to have to settle for "stoked" instead; it doesn't suit me. I want to be the one who's "pumped". Look, is there any chance you could be "stoked" so I can be "pumped"? I'll buy you a drink at the Farmhouse if you're prepared to swap. Vin
Bollocks, it's not even 8am and I have missed out on buzzing, pumped and stoked.. Ok, I'm flying but I'm not happy about it.
