On that note, I was really pleased with Che's attitude when he came on - it was very much "come on you bunch of twats, let's get to it".
Sorry all but we are need of a hapless victim to do the Newcastle thread. I can confidently predict it will be a one-off.
When I asked the question on the previous page, I was half expecting that to be the answer to who was the captain once JWP went off.
Go on then. I havent done one for a while and it would be nice to do my last Premier League thread for a year or two
This really pi$$es me off . I worked in Bournemouth for a few years and there were quite a few cherries fans there that had followed the team for years . There was banter of course , but it was good natured . Then when they really started doing well , the gutless brigade started with their snidey comments and scum this & scum that . I have no time for those people , no time at all
Unfortunately for them from what I saw of them last night, they'll be back down in a year. Only marginally better than us just much more motivated.
Glen has a right old go: http://leagueoneminus10.blogspot.com/2023/04/premier-league-match-33-southampton-0.html
I think he was sat behind me on Thursday and if wasn't him, it was the bloke behind him, and if it wasn't him then................, well work it out.
A few months ago I jokingly said perhaps it was SRs plan to get relegated and "collect" the parachute payment as such. Looking back on how Saints have been, on/off the pitch, bizarre coaching set ups, the lack of a will to win, I honestly wonder if that is indeed the plan? Again I really hope that not the case. Tinhat time! Lol
That makes no sense. The club would earn far more if they stayed in the Premier League. It would be like buying a brand new car, only to go and sell it a year later for half the price, and claim that you've made money.
Maybe Saints are being seen as a tax dodge, where all of the income that SR has made is nominally ploughed back into Saints' survival, and the balance sheet shows that SR made no money at all this year, even though their owners have all got remarkably large bonus payments.
