Doesn’t really affect him much financially but I wonder if he got the statutory 2 week fine for his previous “****” misdemeanour & another here? I never saw a statement from the club previously?
RM has done his best to divert the attention away from Stephens being sent off but I genuinely hope that some of the players tore him to shreds at HT. If not then they should be ashamed of themselves because they are tacitly saying that his action was acceptable to them. Seriously they should not have to suffer because their captain decided to act like a kindergarten bully. Perhaps he thought the 30+ cameras in the stadium would miss it but at least he now has to live with the knowledge that he was red carded for the macho act of pulling someone’s hair.
On this reward bit, can someone explain what the alleged reward to this style of play actually is? Not that any reward would be sufficient for this level of risk.
With everything else that went on I can't believe I forgot to mention the playing of Gold after the goal. I mean goal music in itself is bad enough, but personalised goal music dependant on the scorer? **** off Saints.
