You may be right. I've seen more attempts to play in Gabbi this match than in all our other games combined.
Same as usual then. Lots of bussel. Final pass lacking: Redmond typifies the team really. Burnley sitting very deep with only one up front. We really ought to be trying to be more adventurous as we are likely to get the ball back. Edit; forgot to add that Boufal looks like the only player trying to be creative.
Those last 10 minutes before HT were better. The tempo is better too. Cedric is off colour, and Tadic is not playing well. Davis, Boufal playing well and Redmond improving as the game goes on. Forster not had anything to do, yet still unconvincing.
Well, what the hell do we do different in the second half. My suggestions would be, get one of theirs sent off.......the keeper being first choice. Tell Virgil to stay up front for when we start the panic balls into the box. Let Burnley score so they sit so deep they are in the freaking stand!
Half time and predictably no score. Difficult to see where we are going to get one from. Boufal looks the best bet to create something or possibly get the finish. FF has had nothing to do which is in itself worrying.
Agree the last ten were loads better, need to come out like that in second half though. Bit harsh on Fraser though ffs, he's had nothing to do
It was always going to be difficult to break down a Burnley team that more than happy to sit back and soak up the pressure, especially for us given our struggles in attack. We've got to put things in perspective, we're never going to batter this kind of a well disciplined defensive side. That being said, we've showed some verve in attack and had a couple of good chances plus some promising situations. Redmond in particular was the most penetrating player and needs to keep doing that, he's also as far as i can see from the stream has the crowd behind him.
Fuxakes, it was always going to be hard breaking this lot down. We've played well so far. More of the same in the second half. The goal will come. Atmosphere not bad in the ground.
