I'd have JWP in the team over Davis every day of the week. But Pellegrino knows better obviously.

 

It's the most offensive lineup yet. Hope with don't lose otherwise who knows when again will MP muster courage to put Tadic, Boufal and Redmond in the starting lineup at the same time.

 

I think Hoedt & Virgil are too similar tbh.

As Tom says, if JWP were to keep his place then it would have to be for Davis imo. Really can't be playing all 3 of those in a game like this.

VVD & Hoedt, ones left foot and ones right foot. Both big and quick and able to play football. We are not going to be under pressure for most of the game. Burnley are going to sit back and hit us on the break and dive to get free kicks that they can bring up their big lads and get the ball lobbed into the box. I would play my best footballers at the back personally

 

I'm happy for Maya and with him in the team. He shouldn't have been left out last week.

 

Fair enough, I just think in style they are too similar and having Maya compliments them more. Is Hoedt right footed? Thought he was left footed too.
