McCarthy Cedric Stephens Hoedt RB Romeu PEH JWP Lemina Tadic Carillo Is how I’d start. Solid midfield, and Tadic has impressed recently from the left. Only doubt is whether there’s enough attacking force in that team - but hopefully carillo can get on the end of a JWP cross or two. Lemina is also technically good enough to be a 10.
McCarthy, Cedric, Stephens, Hoedt, Bertrand (or McQueen, if injured), Romeu, PEH, Lemina, JWP, Tadic, Boufal, Long, Carillo, Gabbi. So long as the XI come from that 14, I'll be happy. Even more so if it's not Long up front by himself.
Their Chinese owners must be splashing the cash on wages, already spending a fortune for their Polish midfielder loanee
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42797949 Lawro fancies us to win 2-0. Wow.....2 goals. That's practically 3 games worth.
First game for a while that I'm feeling confident of us winning. Brighton will be difficult to break down but once we get our first goal I can see us scoring a few more. 3-1 Saints. Hopefully my confidence isn't just down to the wine I've drank tonight.
Can we move this up to Tuesday? We're getting 6-8" of snow and I'm probably not going to end up working, and I don't get to watch midweek matches often.
I'm fortunate to work at a place where I am the only person who regularly works on-site under the age of 68 (seriously), and they tend to be rather cautious about snow. Thus, for better or worse, I get rather a lot of days off in winter, because past experience has taught me that showing up when no one else does is more of a nuisance than it's worth.
I have discovered the fountain of youth: no matter how grey my hair gets, I am 'the young guy' by virtue of still having hair at all.
I've seen The Revenent (twice now). What happened to the frontier spirit? My illusions about the conquering of a wilderness are now shattered.
That bear nearly removed Leo's throat. When we had a very large black bear in our back yard that tore up our badminton net and leaned on a high-voltage electric fence to get at the beehives, we went indoors. Trappings of civilization involve way less throat violence than frontier spirit, and thus win.
Can we sign up a bear before tomorrow? Bit of old Saints spirit needed. Back in the "oh we're in a relegation fight again" days we always preformed in the must win/mustn't lose games. We need that tomorrow, and if playing a grizzly at centre back is the answer, then bring it on. The fact that I'm travelling to a mid week game is a sure sign. 1-3, I'm afraid. Come on, Saints, prove me wrong.
