Disagree as it's not the 'core' that remains, the spine has largely gone.

If we had Mane and Pelle in this squad, we would be comfortably top half.

The centre halves and that Kenyan bloke weren't bad either.

Mane & Van Dijk, or any centre back that isn't pushed around by any half-physical striker.

The spine being the important components rather than just the adjacent limbs. I get your point.

I agree we're way to slow. That's been the problem all season.

I remain to be convinced about Boufal. I see a great dribbler, but a guy who gives the ball away a lot.

Ok, so first glass of wine in a month and a bit more perspective.

The second half team once Gabbi came on should have been the starting 11. Hindsight is wonderful, but you don't need a crystal ball to see the difference two strikers make.

PEH was everywhere, Romeu was below par today. Lemina should have been near the pitch. Our 4 top signings started the game on the bench. There is no excuse, MP2 obviously is either smoking something or has a drink problem.

Shane didn't do what he is good at today.

JWP I thought had a good game.

Back 4 looked good, but had too much of the ball, as we kept passing back to them.

    We were clueless going forward.

At one point in the second half (still 1-0 down) we had 8 players in a line on the halfway line. 8. Bloody 8. How you can launch an attack from that I don't know.

Couldn't we at least lose so I wouldn't have to do my 5th thread in a row? Must be a record. 5 threads and 2 points so far.

Who was the player who had all the skills under the sun and played for QPR maybe, 5 seasons ago. Considered a bit of a luxury. Does Boufal fall into that category?

Players like that do naturally though. I'd rather that than watch us pass it side to side 17,000 times before floating in a cross that's no where our only player in the box whixh happens to be JWP.

If we did we'd probably pay £50m but he would be left on the bench

Back from the game. That first half was dreadful, like, really really bad. And Brighton weren't even good. Second half was slightly better, there was at least a bit more urgency at times. But we carry absolutely no threat. Such a disappointing performance under the circumstances. We are right up **** creek. Trying to remain calm but **** me what an infuriating day.

100%. I have two Chihuahuas and they are more threatening than our team.
