Shane scores probably the best goal of his entire career. The second of said brace, as I recall. A goal he will never repeat again. And the poor sod gets overshadowed by Sadio's record. Could only happen to him.
The Bleacher Report which is always a good read suggests that trying to disposess (aka crunch) him is not the best approach Better to close him down and hold him up
Certainly in terms of memorability (or at least for us fans - he might argue the similar one he scored in Ireland's 1-0 win vs Germany).
Bad news, but presumably Valery is available, so hopefully JWP can play in his best position, i.e. crunching the Grealish.
So i'd expect this to be the starting XI if Valery comes in from the cold... ..........Macca Yan, Jack, Bedders, Bertie .......JWP, Pierre Stuey...............Moussa .....Shane, Danny Oriol will come in if JWP fills in at RB. Just wondering if Smallbone can play wide?..would be interesting to see him get some more time on the pitch.
Argh. I was expecting Redmond and Boufal to be out, but not KWP. Valery has been seen in training photos again for some time now so hopefully he can play. Don't really want to weaken midfield by having to play JWP there.
Saturday's attacking options on the bench will be intriguing, Che, Oba, Smallbone and possibly another? I've always though that Bertie has the quality to play further forward at LAM so maybe Vokins will get on the bench.
Vokins attacking side of the game is stronger than his defence, so could see him being brought on as a LW there too.
