I think we have discovered why Forren hasn't played yet, we haven't bought him as a CB...we've bought him as a replacement for Lambert!
Forren seems to be trying to usurp not just Yoshida's position in the squad, but his title for the best volley technique of a Saints CB.
Rowe has been very, very good so far. His delivery has been top class and he is certainly worrying our defence.
Yep, doesn't seem like he's got a long career ahead, with us, anyway. Omar Rowe, on the other hand, is looking very good.
Probably our best move of the game so far. Kept the ball well but Adorjan was clearly offside. Good call by the linesman.
Very good. Also tracked back on that Liverpool move and got in front of Morgan, denying him a clear sight at goal. Given that we're not exactly overrun with wide players, I wouldn't be upset to see him occupying a spot on the substitute bench.
Yep, fully agree. Good "change of pace" impact sub, too, would think. If we were in the Championship, he'd surely be seeing a lot more pitch time.
Especially because his best attribute -- the quick move, drive, vicious cross combo -- is something we're really lacking. Save for that stretch against Newcastle where Lallana played on the right (and created a goal), our off-sided wingers mean that we either wait for the fullbacks to move up in support, or ain't nobody putting in a cross from within fifteen yards of the byline.
Pointless factoid of the day: there are, by my count, fifteen players who have received a senior cap (and only one cap) in the past three years. The "cap them young, then forget that they exist for 2-3 years" thing seems to be growing more and more popular.
Cross was a bit too deep, but Rowe yet again doing work...his marker looked to be one stutter-step away from bursting into tears.
