And unlike Milan, they aren't up to their eyeballs in debt, so money taken in can be reallocated. With Cannavaro suspended for six months and Napoli in the hunt for the CL, central defender is a position of need.

I don't think it is spot on ... yes we need the recruits but as I said further up, "NOW" isn't the necessity. After Villa, we have Utd, Chelski and Everton. To me, it is key they are in anywhen up to deadline day so that we have them ready for Wigan away.
