Strewth we have been on the lookout then.......I really can only see a couple of new ones coming in January one purchase and one loan. Not sure we have room for any more than that. (Unless someone is on there way out that we don't know about?)

Don't mind rumours about incoming players. I am sure we are looking at loads of players as you don't always get the first you go for. Do we need another midfielder though? Adkins said during the summer that the scouting team are not only looking at immediate signings, but also at players for 2-3 years time. In other words, they are following players development.

What happened to Ogbonna? I can't believe we're not going to go back for him, he is class.

I think Man Utd are/were interested. Would be great if we can pull it off, but I don't think it'll happen.

Carols Sanchez is the one that caught my eye the most really. Dann and Robinson have been mentioned before and there are merits and drawbacks to both.

I didn't think we needed any more central midfielders but seeing Sanchez linked did make sense in terms of squad balance. A lot of premiership teams have a strong physical presence in one of their midfielders and we don't have that at the moment. That type of midfielder (who can play a bit as well), I think, might be a good addition to the squad (Diame, Tiote, Palacios, Mulumbu etc have proven valuable premiership additions), especially away from home or against the bigger teams, and with players like Hammond and Chaplow likely to leave and potenitally Ward Prowse benefiting from a short loan early next year, I would be more than happy to have a different type of midfield enforcer come in to the squad.

Having a regular bench of GK, Fonte, Fox, Davis, MF enforcer, Mayuka and Rodriguez would do me in most situations.

How much do you think Mulumbu would cost? Not a priority position and extremely unlikely that he would come here I know but I would think he could attract some offers in January or the Summer. I don't know how well off West Brom are either?

I've been very impressed with him but can't see WBA letting him go!

I think he would be a great addition, he would play a similar role to Cork, notice how much we missed him when he was injured.

If you look at our team we are still very light, we have Lallana that could be out fir time. Do we have anyone that can replace him?, well we have Rodriguez but he is more a forward and Mayuka is right sided. Then you have good old steve who is ****e.

Then you look at the defence only 3 cb's, one of which is Hooiveld who looked hugely off the pace of the Prem. We don't really have a forth choice as you can't really count the youngsters.

I could see about 3 or 4 signings in Jan, just to add a bit more competition for places and obviously more squad depth.

Ogbonna is a pipe dream. Both Milan clubs are apparently going to put in a bid in January, Napoli are interested, and Juventus would be too if Og wasn't a Torino player. Every big club in Italy wants him, as well as some foreign big clubs (United, for example). I can guarantee he will not sign for Saints. Given that he has 4 years left on his contract as well it's going to take a hefty bid for Torino to sell in January. I think he'll go to Milan, personally.

And I agree with all the comments re Upson, Davies and Dann. All rubbish/average players who wouldn't displace our current CB pairing. Upson and Davies especially are woeful.

I had a quick google earlier about Man United's interest and I saw an article that said they've been told to pay £16m, so I think we could probably rule Ogbonna out unfortunately. :(

Agreed think with his team messing us about in August and how he has been playing this season, he won't be coming here sadly.

Is there a footballing equivalent of Alaistair Cook as not much gets past him these days? I said it before, I'd go for a couple of young Scandinavians. Probably much cheaper than the Danns, Upsons and Davies's of this world and would be an investment now and for the future!
