The second two sentences will not prevent the first. We're Saints fans. Even the most easy going of us will wake up with cold sweats at some point this summer.
I'd prefer those two to Luke Shaw anyway. Why try and bring back a former academy graduate ahead of two still at the club? That would be wrong in so many ways.
Anything being done, should be done early and let the manager get on with the hard work in preseason. Tell us the worst and the fans can adjust to it. And if the clubs being sold...sell the bloody thing. Twist or stick, Katharina. I've gone past meltdown, straight into stroppy.
Not at all, sometimes a bit of regret at players moving who I wish had stayed, but every transfer window is like Christmas for me as I get excited about who's coming, how good I think they'll be, how much of a bargain they were etc. I never get down about personnel changes, either players or coaching staff
This will be a busy summer in and out...hopefully the 'outs' will just be a case of tidying the team up...now Claude has had a shoofti. There will be no more financial input from Katharina, so, unless we are sold, it will be a balancing act.
It's why I leave this forum every summer. Too much worrying about things we can't change. Too much overblown hysteria. Then I go to St Mary's on the first day of the new season and wonder who the new people are on the pitch. Vin PS. Just realised what your signature strip says. Like it lots.
Is that a rumour or confirmed? Everton going to be pretty good next year if they get a couple of centre backs
Indeed. It goes a long way to defeating the point of having a recruitment structure like ours, if we suddenly allow Puel to turn this into his own squad over the summer. I am very supportive of the way we have done it to date, particularly given how we've lost Poch and Koeman. It's bad enough that we have to spend so much transfer time replacing players who have left us. I'd rather us not add to that having to bring in players who are favourites etc of whichever manager we happen to have in situ at a given time (and vice versa with current players who are not).
I can still see them selling Barkley for mega bucks to a big boy (it's either sign or sell, with his contract up in 12 months), and replacing him with Sigurdsson at a lower price (especially if Swansea go down). That would be top business in my eyes, even if Barkley might ultimately turn out to be the greater player. (Might...)
Yeah that would be great business, never seen the hype in Barkley, I'm unsure if any of the big clubs would actually want him, but somebody must be sniffing around for him to not be signing a new deal Speaking of Sunderland players would like us to sign N'Dong from them, think he would be great next to Romeu. That's if Moyes hasn't coached too much "Britishness" into him
"It never happens to other clubs" - people not reading the rumour threads? Okay, we may succumb more to mega deals, but it happens to everyone. Even Chelsea.
