I know it is pretty much impossible but he seems like he’d be great as one of the 10s in our current system. Seems better suited to him than how we were set up when he left
Henrik Kraft going to be the new chairman, I believe. Also Danish. Big, big fan of Rasmus Ankersen being involved.
It is very hard to get a handle on whether this is good or bad. Let’s not get too cocky, Gao was uninspiring but stable. Let’s hope this is an advancement, but be cautious! Note - Sky news alert pops up while I type this to say it’s a done deal, they weren’t joking when they said we would hear nothing until it was done!
Semmens has been brilliant for us. I have little doubt this deal will be very good for the club going forward.
Yep, he is a bit more on how it was used at Brentford: https://premierleaguenewsnow.com/brentford-moneyball-model-premier-league-promotion/
I think the presence of Ankersen adds a lot of credibility to the deal. Solak is a business man just like Gao and I doubt he is going to invest heavily in the club. He mirrors Gao with his shady 'shell' company tactics to avoid tax - https://www.maltatoday.com.mt/news/...oidance_is_maltas_newest_citizen#.YdRIWC2l01J The Moneyball idea is a not too different to the black box theory we've been running with for years. But it needs tweaking to be more successful and Ankersen may be the key to that. I was not unhappy with Gao and I'm not unhappy with this deal.
Well it's something new, and usually when stuff like this happens, they like to make a signing or two to make an immediate impression. I'm sure Ralph will be happy. I'm cautiously delighted, if that is such a thing.
So we're worth a Jack Grealish. How many Charlie Austins is that? If we don't rename St Mary's to Dragan's Den then we should immediately sack our marketing team.
What will happen with Martin Semmens? Ralph got on very well with him. If he’s not around does that effect how Ralph feels moving forward?
