You do follow saints don't you? Do you watch them? Davis first choice keeper for 4-5 years and after 14 goals conceded you think we have chucked a rookie league 2 keeper in as "squad rotation" whilst trying to claim our first points In the premier league! .....this is why I lose faith in posters! Davis was dropped because he was deemed by NA as being below par, make no mistakes! Bloody hell!
Here's my prediction..... KD has been told that while he has been excellent over the years, and thanked for his efforts, the club have decided the best role for him at the current time is to captain the development squad using one of the 3 over 21 spots allowed. His main job will be to ensure that the youngsters get a good founding and mental support from an experienced pro. He will also be available for first team selection pending an injury to, or sending off of, Gazzaniga or Boruc. Think the number 1/2 battle will be a fair fight between Gazza and Boruc because NA clearly likes the young kid and sees him as our GK for the future. Also, Boruc only given a contract until the end of this season at the moment, and we've clearly have left him wanting/needing to prove himself to get a longer deal. Either way, they'll both play a few times before the season is out with cups to cover and healthy competition if one or other has a bad game. None of them will be leaving on loan I don't reckon, but if one did it's more likely KD than Gazza. Lat
Wow, I've missed a lot in the last few hours. I think Boruc is a very smart signing. We now have three keepers competing for the first team place, and none of them will feel like it's their divine right to be first choice. I can't see any downsides to this signing.
And I'm sure that Boruc has been made aware (possibly by our management, definitely by his agent) that this season is hugely important in determining what the remainder of his career will be like...if ever one could find a time to tone down the nuttiness, a one-year deal at 32, after being passed over for the first month of the year, is probably the time, if one has intentions of playing high-level football past 33.
Dont know much about him but it's always good to sign good players so if hes as good as people say then good! I do wonder what will happend with Kelvin and Gazza now will one go on loan, Gazza would make sense being young but then was today an idication he has taken over the no1 spot or just a wake up for Kelv? Anyway whatever happens hope KD is treated well, hes a legend and stayed with us during our hour of need, that should never be forgotten.

Kelvin won't be going anywhere ... he's already been asked about a role once retiring Gazza will go out on loan if it's any of them - he'll benefit more than Kelvin
In the same way he could benefit playing for us. Especially if the new players help us move in the right direction and that is forward and upwards.
Quality signing. Very surprised he wasn't kept on at foruintina or that a top European club didn't take him on. I'm sure an Celtic fan will rave about him, his record even last season speaks for itself. Like kelvin was in the championship and L1, boruc is a keeper that can win us points in the prem. should help with things till jan when I guarantee a new LB and probably another CB in the building. Even Adkins is starting to lose patience with Fox's seamlessly basic mistakes at the back. Wayne Bridge anyone?

I know he is on loan mate But that's why I mentions him. Has played very well so far and perhaps their is a clause in his loan contract to allow him to leave for another club in jan?
