The link is now open on the Pompey Board so both boards now have access to it! Not sure if they'll be interested this time around, but we shall see but it was great fun last time out!
I really don't think this will be as easy as everyone says.. doesn't really qualify as banter but hey ho!
Agreed, I see this as a draw. As long as we get four points over Easter we would go into the Reading game at the worst level on points with them.
I've been confident most of the season tbf. I was a bit off predicting 4-0 to us for the Blackpool game, but I didn't know Richardson and Lambert would be out.
It's impossible to say which Pompey team is going to turn up; the one that beat Birmingham and Hull or the one that picked up a single point from games against Bristol City, Coventry and Burnley. If it's the former we'll give you a game. If it's the latter it could get embarrassing for us!
Good morning Devon, Good news on the fan buyout front, I really hope that becomes a reality for you guys.
Nothing embarassing about getting beaten by a team at the top of the league...on the other hand if we get beaten
Don't you dare entertain that Fran! You're depressing me by just typing that. Now, go and walk round the block 4 times, and when you can be sensible you can come back inside.
Yes, I would feel a whole lot more confident about this game if the injury list wasn't so long. I am not worried about the players not being up for it and personally I find the insistence on passion from them a bit strange. I would trade passion for fast accurate passing of the ball which takes Pompey's defence apart in a heartbeat. I don't want to see any cards, and thinking about how certain players can get carried away worries me. With injuries to deal with, a three match ban for the last five games could be a real problem.
As much as his off-field antics were publicised, I don't ever recall him really losing it on the pitch. Nothing out of the norm. I do think Fox seems a bit of a hot-head at times, as does Connolly, but he probably won't be involved.
I've noticed a couple of times (not in recent appearances tbf) that if something doesn't go his way, it builds up and he tends to get a bit hot-headed. Good to see we've got players that give a little extra, shows they care and they wanna get the result but it's just a case of controlling it and channelling it so it ends in goals not cards. I agree about Fox too.
Fox enjoys abuse from the opposition I think. At West Ham he got plenty of it, and booted the ball at the ad board and made the fans who were abusing him jump. Then as he picked the ball up and dried it on his shirt he appeared to give them a certain gesture with his left hand. Other than that there was Millwall away where he was running over to take a corner and starting trying to gee the fans up by pulling his shirt, punching his chest and pointing to the badge. And he went mental right in front of the Saints fans when we got the 2nd penalty from his corner, I don't remember if he went mental when it was awarded or when we scored though. I like Fox though not adverse to an off-day but who is. Good crosser too, and passionate.
