Depends on how Southampton setup.

We have trouble breaking down teams that play to draw, so I am hoping that Southampton will try and win the game which will give us a better chance.

2 -1 to Sunderland.

The kick off time is useless for away fans (not too good for homes either, I will miss my Saturday morning game of golf), iirc Southampton have brought quite a few fans up for a match at SoL, but for a 12.45 kick off going by coach they will have to leave in the middle of the night and BT are screening it.

Another sign that fans count less theses days.

Cheeky ****s.

The ground itself is a bigger version of St Mary's on two sides in many respects with an extra tier added on the other two sides that increased the capacity after construction to 49,000.

However perhaps Saints fans who clamour for big increases to St Mary's should take note that the ground is rarely filled and this leads to many games looking like they are being played in a half empty stadium, the average last season in the Premier was only 40,544 and in previous years its barely topped 40,000, in fact most of the games are played before crowds of around 36-38 k.

...........................................................................

Visiting fans have now been moved to the opposite end and into the upper tier, which although giving a great view is a little isolated from the rest of the stadium, the two upper tiered sides giving a little bit of an impression that its not quite balanced right.

Southampton’s solid start to the season is on the verge of being overshadowed by an on-going row between chairman Nicola Cortese and club owner Katharina Liebherr.
Cortese is believed to be considering walking out on the club he has been with for nearly five years, with the Italian having just returned to the south coast from an annual skiing holiday. Any departure by the chairman would also place the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino in serious doubt, with Cortese the man who brought the Argentinian in to replace Nigel Adkins when he was sacked last season.
Having been appointed under former owner Markus Liebherr, Cortese continued his in his role after the unexpected death of the German-born Swiss businessman in August 2010, wjen his daughter Katharina was left the club as part of his estate.
It is believed that Cortese has questioned his role with the club on several occasions having been placed under intolerable conditions, and the latest spat could very well lead to his permanent departure.
Lieberr has no interest in football or experience in running a football club, and despite leaving Cortese to oversee the day-to-day running of the side, her demands have increased as the club have become more successful. A strong start to the season saw Saints rise as high as third before a run of one win in eight saw them drop to mid-table.
Saints’ resurgence under Cortese’s guidance has been nothing short of remarkable, having suffered a fall from grace that saw them plummet from the Premier League to League One having gone into administration.
They soon returned to the Championship in 2011, and Adkins then took them to back-to-back promotions by finishing second the following season, ensuring a Premier League return after a seven-year absence.
Sources close to the club suggest that Cortese is already planning for life after he leaves the club, and the controversy is unlikely to end their as rumours continue to circulate over Pochettino’s future.
The manager last week dismissed claims that he was set to leave the club, but he has certainly strengthened his credentials during his time in the Premier League and has become a target for clubs across Europe.

How can the average be 40k, but "most" games played in front of 36-38k ? Someone should look up what "average" means.
