Helen pointed out that it's 40 years ago since this chap passed away. I don't recall many tunes posted from him. I was 7, and I remember the exact moment when we heard as my Mum was driving us home and she was so shocked that the moment has stuck with me and sat here now, I can see the bend we were driving round at the time. (You might say it is "Always on my mind" Perhaps we could have people post one of their favourites each. Here's mine:
I never really got Elvis. I was too much into black blues to appreciate his impact, and when British music got interesting very few cited him as an influence. I now realise that this was the way that he was controlled, as he had a voice to die for. Great song.
Greedy bugger!! People should post just one... come on let's be good sports as there are lots of Elvis tracks and I'm sure lots of people will have different favourites. He was special, so let's try to Give lots of people the chance to post a favourite and see how many we get though. It would be easy for anyone to post several I'm sure.
TBH I cannot pick between them ,hence the double post . Does this mean I can't go out to play at lunch time ?
In fairness, some digital albums come with the album booklet in pdf form or whatever that you would get from a physical copy. Not very often in my experience, but sometimes.
Here are a couple songs from the upcoming Wolf Alice album, Visions Of A Life, which is out on the 29th of September...
