    No particular reason for this, just that it’s one of Sandy Denny’s most beautiful songs, with a fabulously understated guitar solo by Jerry Donahue.

    RIP Ennio Morricone - film scorer par excellence. I didn’t know whether to post the theme to “The Mission” or this one, but this won out because I loved the movie and the score was just incredible.

    He also wrote Bright Eyes for Art Garfunkel and wrote and produced hundreds of other hit tracks. One of the most influential people in music, and yet everyone remembers him for the Wombles. <doh>
