A good 24 hours of music. Last night Deacon Blue in Southend. Tonight Bohemian Rhapsody at the Odeon (not a queen fan) Both awesome.
Sometimes bonus tracks are better than the rest of the album. This was only on the Japanese release of God Bless The Go-Go's but it beats me why, it's pure pop and would've made a great single.
I had read about this track but never heard it. Thanks for posting, Got to say that the original is one of my favourite blues tracks....
Seeing as we are including cellos in this thread, seem only appropriate to include something by Tomeka Reid. Always find it amusing that you would not expect guitarist Mary Halvorson's to play so radically from her appearance. Her tuning is pretty unusual and she has been cited by many as the most exciting guitarist of her generation. This is a quartet I love.
Love this song. I appreciate he is an acquired taste, but sometimes Tom Waits' music is spot on. No surprise that he is loved by many jazz musicians.
Punk Legend, Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist for the Buzzcocks, Pete Shelley has been reported as having died after a suspected heart attack aged just 63... That's another hero of my youth gone too soon...R.I.P. Pete...
I make absolutely no apologies for posting the full Spiral Scratch EP again. It was a momentous recording and a complete gamechanger for the Music Industry as the very first Independant record label release .
