Due to a late cancellation I have two spare tickets to see Seasick Steve at the Guildhall on Monday (12th).

Face value is £71.80 the pair but I'm a scalper extraordinaire so £72 will do the job. I don't want the hassle of splitting them so you'll need to come with a friend.

They're being advertised elsewhere so if you want to go send me a PM and we'll sort out the details.

Just casually listening to some David Bowie (before he 'became' David Bowie) with Jimmy Page on guitar.

Just came across this from the Prefab Four, The Rutles. Such a great song by the most wonderful Neil Innes

Here's the title track from one of National treasure, Damon Albarn's "other bands" (the one with Paul Simonon in), The Good , The Bad & The Queen's upcoming album, Merrie Land. We need artists like him in these troubled times...

    This is not rhetoric
    It comes from my heart
    I love this country

    Daneland, I am your kin
You were the ones who work together
Put the money in the pockets
Of the few and their fortunes
    Who crowd the school benches
And jeer at us all because they don't care about us
They are graceless and you shouldn't be with them
Because they are all disconnected and raised up in mansions
And two hundred plastic bags in a whale's stomach
So you turn to the trident
Are we green are we pleasant?
We are not either of those Father
We are a shaking wreck where nothing grows
Lost in the sky coloured oils of Merrie Land

You can fly to the moon
    One day

That puppet reminds me of Peter Kay a bit!

A typical quality tune from the Summer off of Johnny Marr's Call The Comet album...

There is a 17 minute album version but we'll leave it at the 2min 55 sec single.

The first Jethro Tull album track I heard - totally blew me away. Listen to the guitar work as the track goes on. It builds and builds and is amazing (IMO)

Yes, it’s a very long track (17 mins plus) but this was, perhaps, the track that introduced me to the magnificence that were Colosseum - Jon Hiseman, Chris Farlowe, Dave Greenslade, Dave “Clem” Clemson, Dick Heckstall-Smith and Mark Clarke. Listen and enjoy .....
