Heard Roger Daltrey on Radio 2 this morning saying that he’d engaged a writer to do a script for a movie about the life of Keith Moon. He said that the key consideration for casting someone to play Moon would be the actor’s eyes. Asked if he thought it would be difficult to find an actor to play a musician Daltrey burst out laughing and said “Keith would hate to be described as a musician!”
Yeah, I heard that too on Ken Bruce I think...ever do Pop Master Chilcs?, I regularly get in the 30s..
Yes I was listening to Ken Bruce in the car. My Pop Master success rate is limited as I’ve forgotten more than I ever knew! I’m usually better at the 3 in 10 bit funnily enough.
Oh how I wish there was an 'it's impossible to like this too much' button. BTW, TV Smith still includes this classic in his solo setlist.
When Glen Matlock of the Pistols said to Johnny Thunders, "this is a good song, what's it about?", Johnny drawled " why, heroin boy"...
Ok, it's the final day for music I bought in 1977, tomorrow will be, wait for it....1978. I've posted something from this before, but here is the very first "indie" recording in all its' 10:13 minute glory...
I've stated before how much I love this man's music, this is from the Songs in the Key of Life album...
