Most of these pundits come from a small number of the top clubs and find it difficult to understand that the small feeder clubs have the temerity to say "No" to the Big Boys
The media is only interested in the top 6-7 clubs and look at the rest of us as feeder clubs and fodder for their favourites to kick around at will

How long has that been the case? When has that come across. He used to pretty much be a closet saints fan. You could tell from listening to him

Always seemed to me that Stelling and MLT were good mates and he would say the negative stuff that MLT didn't want to say, like the Boufal rant last year

 

I think Stelling likes us from memory.

 

Other than saying it is certain (even something that is 99.9% going to happen, isn't certain), I don't see what Jamie has said wrong. Why would Virgil want to stay?

Until we finally replace the likes of Yoshida and Davis with quality, I can't see us ever getting out of this cycle (and no, it won't take billions to do that. We didn't spend billions to sign the likes of Virgil, Mane and Wanyama in the first place)

It was quite uncalled for....I've never seen a supposedly neutral pundit go off on one like that. There are worse players than Boufal to moan about.

 

After our game against Spurs I think he said it was the worst display from a pro footballer he'd ever seen. Went on for a good couple of minutes laying into him, I'll try and find a video about it

 

Perhaps his fondness for saints made him even more angry about a bad performance?

 

He could've done what every other player looking to get out does and refused to sign a SIX year contract extension last Summer. He has only himself to blame in this matter, he made his bed and now has to be professional and lie in it.

Haven't we just broken our transfer record for a CM and we have signed a CB too.

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure Stelling likes us. Just had a couple of Boufal rants last year that made people think differently.
