I love SUMO management, it's great. In fact, considering how Nigel is in to his reading and management techniques, I am surprised he hasn't used it at a Press Conference.... I think he should read Gung Ho next.
Even if we miraculously signed someone tonight, it would take a long time for them to be fit enough to play in the Premier League. It took Boruc a few weeks and he is a goalkeeper, that's why I just can't see it for a defender (if an adequate one were actually available). If we could just get a settled and fit back four, that's our best chance of improvement.
Fox was okay against Fulham, his last game for us. Richardson did well against Villa and I'd be happy with Clyne there too, so that leaves the CB's and Jose seems to have doen ok when playing alongside Yoshida.
Dawson is better than the 3 regular centre backs we currently have - the only issue I have is he seems to be injury-prone of late. As for the reported £7.5M - seems okay to me. The wages are what hurt the most, but there is a premium to pay when you buy established premiership players. NC will have to live with that over time, even though I agree that we should have a balanced and affordable pay structure within the club. Sign him if we can please!
Its raining, everybody has umbrellas up yet there is one dick running around shouting its raining, its raining - we all know its raining and the dick is you Gomarchingin. We all know the defence needs work, the club tried to buy more defenders but nothing came through, and now we have to wait until January. You or anyone else here is privy to the innerworkings of the club so you do not know who or how close we were to signing anyone. I know its a longshot, but can you just try to stop banging on about the same stuff, kick back and try to enjoy us playing with the big boys and have faith that the club (and that includes NC who you seem to have a real bug up your arse about) will look to sort it out in January
You settling for anything less than our rightful place in the top league with the big boys , we are a big club and I don't want to hear **** about grateful , do great clubs do grateful ? They go for it ? You exemplify the Saints fan that this club has come to love , unquestioning and meek and mild . Whilst we arse about ****ing up another transfer window we could be ****ed by then and you still don't want answers , you just accept we had a bad window . Nice one Clive , nice one . Do you think Chelsea asked nicely before they went into the top four ? They took it , we should do the same with our premiership status and if the board are arrogant enough only to accept thank yous and not questions then you have to ask what the **** is going on .
The meek and mild , dare to do , we came to be rescued because we failed to invest in 2004/5 . I am off to sleep , 18 hour day .
We are not a great club with a billionaire owner that will pay players over 200,000 a week, we are a club that is thankfully now in a healthy financial situation, but we have to look for value. Why should a player come to us when the likes of QPR offer twice the amount of wages- and we are above them in the league so it shows that throwing money at the problem will not work. Very few promoted teams stroll into the premiership and carry on the winning way. You are shouting for answers to your problems, sorry but no one on here have those answers so you have to ask NC and then tell us what he says. But then you believe what Le Tiss and Jnr are spouting, NC has done wonders at this club, without him we would have been in the same **** as Coventry, why dont you have a little faith that NC wants only good things for the club, afterall a broken down club is worth nothing.
