The key now is our defence, we have only let in one disputed penalty in the last five games and have only failed to score in four games all season. If we get through March without injuries or suspensions to the defence then I can see us going through March possibly undefeated, 15-18 pts would be great. 11-14 pts would be ok, 10pts is a minimum.
Sorry fellow Saint...I should've taken the time to check your profile...It's just that we've had a few sore losers from Watford on here since yesterday's game.
Got a good feeling after our last two results. Think we'll win all of those games except Hull and Blackpool.
I am surprised how much people are concerned about our game against Hull. I am quietly confident about that one, far more than the Leeds game.
Cannot believe we only have thirteen more games, getting to the business end of the season as Adkins would call it...
Indeed, in a season of 46 games [what are we going to do with 38, for chrissakes..?], 13 games to go seems like a blip went by and suddenly we're into the run-in. The clock of life ticks on. Time to get The EnjoySpecs™ on.
Does everyone really think we'll win at Millwall? I'm not sure about that. We must win the three home games and then see how many points we pick up away.
just noticed that reading play birmingham on last day of the season! could be useful! Im thinking those two will be our biggest threat!
If we deserve promotion, we should win games like this. It's in our own hands, now we have to prove that we are the real deal (to quote the neo-Saint Steve Claridge).
I agree fran, but I was just thinking that in all three games against them this year (albeit with changed teams in the cup), the games were very tight. They are hitting some form and The New Den is a tough place to go. If we do win there, that will really tell me something about how Nigel has the boys going!
I too think the Millwall game will be tuff, and I'm on a stag doo with two Millwall fans amongst others that weekend! Slightly off topic, does anyone know anything about Lallana's injury?
Leeds United (A) Ipswich (H) Barnsley (H) Millwall (A) Hull (A) Doncaster (H) Blackpool (A) I think its imperative that we win our home games against Ipswich, Barnsley and Doncaster. Despite beating Watford away, we have still only won 5/16 away games this season so I'm not suddenly expecting us to win loads of away games. I think we have the potential to win them, and I think we will definitely need to win a fair few more between now and the end of the season. But the above away games are not easy ones. If we can remain unbeaten in those away games and pick up a win or two then I think we will be in fantastic shape.
Last year we went on a winning spree at the end of the season..none of us really predicted that and were guessing we'd get a draw here and a draw there. Let's hope for the same.
If we can pull a win out at Leeds, that would set us great going into back to back home games with Ipswich and Barnsley, hopefully opening up a gap between us and 3rd before 2 tricky away trips.
