    yeah I don't think they can ever have crossed paths unless guly was part of the same age group of the national squad and never played.

    Get used to dull transfer windows. We're going to use the academy instead.

    On which subject, any GKs coming through the academy who stand out? Also, have any of our academy GKs gone on to greatness?

    No way will we just strengthen our team with youngsters. Saints just like buying players in the summer, which makew it easier for the new players.

    Will Britt apparently won the 2012–13 FA Youth Cup with Norwich on loan from us.

    Bevan, Blayney and Poke haven't exactly shone. McNeil has at least had some first team football on a regular basis (edit: he's gone to play for waibop in NZ). I think that's about it for the premier league era. Can't think of anyone earlier.

    Have a feeling we might sign a winger/striker now Lee has gone. Even if it's a loan signing.

    We've been crying out for a pacey winger for ages but now also Lee has gone, although he wasn't a regular a couple of injuries/suspensions and we look very thin up front.

    We've got a few more options from the youth team who might be no worse. Is Seager injured? Didn't see him on the U21s team sheet.

    With the boardroom battle going on, I think we can close this thread now as there will be no funds available and senior managements time will be directed elsewhere.
