Could it be 34M euros? I have no idea what the exchange rate would be.

Dortmund have a bit more leverage than we do. Their players will only leave for a few clubs - and pretty much only one other domestically. They can offer their players much more, in terms of competing for silverware in all the prestigious competitions they're in.

With Saints, that policy would just see half the team rushing the exit at the same time to try to get out first each season. We don't pay enough, don't compete nearly enough, and don't seem to harbour loyalty in players very long.

    €34.000.000 = £29.500.000 ish
if he can get 15 goals in the rest of this season then its worth it in my book and a plus is he would not be cup tied.

just a couple of goals might be all we need to kick start the rest of our season, if Puel doesn't rotate him every other game.

To much for someone of his age. No doubting his talent, but never a Saints transfer.

I would absolutely love us to sign Sigurdsson, he's just what we need. Somebody central who can pull the strings and chip in with double figures himself. He's a great set piece specialist, I doubt our whole midfield will score 10 between them this season. I don't know where they have plucked that price from though. Aren't Everton heavily linked with him? The last day or two especially, even just by searching his name in Google I'm met with awash of stories linking him with Everton. They would pay it too, the gits.

I'd love us to sign him. That fee would probably be overpaying a bit but it would still be okay. Can't see us paying £34m (or £29.5m) for a player though. Especially not a 27 year old who's unlikely to have much resale value.

If anyone can get 15 goals in 18 matches, they should have a statue by the time '17/'18 kicks off, heh. I'd pay good money for half that, not least because it could pay a decent portion of the transfer fee back via increased merit payments...it's so fluid in the middle this season, and three places in the table and an extra TV match is a good £7m or some such.

Would offer something different from free kicks too, like actually scoring. I jest but James can't keep coming close forever.

He's on a very long contract, it would not be very Saint-like.

However Snodgrass is not. I would like him very much.

Sigurdsson has always been my No1 target, he has goals and assists as well as taking all the deadfall situations. Without JWP on the pitch we just don't seem to have anyone capable of putting in consistent quality balls into the middle
Snodgrass wouldn't be a bad shout either just not as good as AS

£34m is probably enough to interest Swansea in this transfer window (it would have to take something massive), but there's not a chance in hell that we'd pay that. Or anyone, outside of China. If he can be purchased for £34m this window, he can be purchased by £34m in the summer. That sort of price is hardly going to increase. But equally, he could be available for a whole lot less in the summer.

Yes it would be a dream come true, but come on guys, we're not paying £34m for him.

What's his conversion rate from free kicks (jwp)? I can only think of the one V WBA? So not great.

That's it. His technique is great and for crossing it's not his fault we converted more. If him and glyfi were on at same time I'd have jwp for crossing and gylfi for shooting
