Transfer Rumours Saints January Transfer Window Rumour Thread

Does anyone know if we really lost 15 million on that transfer. Do clubs have the chance to send damaged goods back, like Forren or do they just write the money off as a tax loss or some other accounting sleight of hand.

 

I think we took quite a hit there...rather reinforces the way we normally do things. His character alone would give the Black Box a nervous breakdown now.

Shame I'm no good at techie stuff....could have posted that old shot of Fonte's bruised face with the tag line that he was leaving Les's office. That would put anyone else off from asking to leave

 

I really wanted the whole Osvaldo thing to work out as I admire that sort of player (to a point). He's like a s***, more psychotic version of Costa. That goal against City though. Some of his behaviour post-Saints beggars belief.

 

I always want Saints players to work out, but he really is a poor excuse for a man.

Conte said to be working tirelessly to sign Virgil. What does that even mean? He's working a night shift at McDonalds to find the money, he's pacing the floor all night, he's sending Virgil flowers and chocolates, or perhaps he's phoning Les at three in the morning. In fact (assuming he is trying to do a deal) it will be boring paper work....he sends Les an offer and Les makes paper aeroplanes out of it. (Probably not on paper, but I am old school....as was Nicola, who got annoyed to receive enquiries by e-mail). I never thought we'd sell Virgil in January and that has been reinforced by the chance that we may lose Fonte.

 

He's one of those you'd meet and at first be a little bit "oh my, he's such fun, WHAT A CHARACTER"....


....and then after about five minutes you'd be more like "ah, no, he's a dickhead".

 

Please can you all leave Osvaldo alone. I love that renegade pirate legend.

Yep, he messed up at every club he went to after us so is fronting an Argentinian rock band...what a waste

 

Agreed, he was a talented player in fairness ... just a complete and utter fruitloop.

 

I don't care about his age but I would love it if we splashed the cash on Defoe (not a rumour but where else would I post this)

 

He'd be too expensive. It would take a huge offer to just make Sunderland consider it.

 

True also he surly can't have that many more seasons in him. But we might be able to score more consistently.
