Period? I didn't realise Trowbridge was in America. Unless you're talking about menstruation, in which case come on, it's a family forum

Anyway it makes sense they'd reject 6m. As far as I'm aware he joined for around 6m. First year he got 10 goals 11 assists, second year he got 9 goals 10 assists, why would they sell him for no profit?

Indeed. They say they want €10m (which is about £7.7m), so I reckon they'd accept somewhere in the middle... €8m??

If we can do it for €8m (just over £6m) - I'd say do it. I don't think it would compromise our spending elsewhere, they all know what we need.

Reading the PSV forum (through google translate of course), and interestingly a few seem to rate him higher than Tim Matavz. Put in a few other interesting comments below:

I also prefer that Matavz departs Lens. I find him more dangerous than Matavz. And indeed what you say, with his speed and physically he would be the best in Europe if they play right and left there would shoot. (with a few replies saying stuff like I agree etc)

Jeremain is obviously a player who would fit well in the PL with his speed and strength.

I can imagine, the only 2 right wing attackers are Steve Knight and Jason Puncheon.

Would certainly very unfortunate. Lens is in my opinion the ideal Supersub. With his speed and strength to force what he can. Scrimmages, frommelgoals, but also just the field much 'longer' do when the opponent starts to print (didn't understand most of this, but...)

See Matavz rather than leave Lens. In one way or another I have great confidence in Lens and I believe he will win a starting spot at the expense of Matavz.

I believe that a player lens of European elite can, provided it is constant.

This amount is far too low. 10 million to me is acceptable, but find 14 million more appropriate given its specific qualities in the PL, where he surprisingly can come out of the corner.

If Lens anyway Southampton is not exactly leave the club as a player where he is waiting. Just promoted from the Championship and two years ago at League One level. They are, in my opinion, much too quickly gone up too fast and will get very tricky (ha, see, there are people who think we shouldn't be in the Premier League in other countries, too!!)

Exactly. Nail. Cup. Touch. (I just liked this one)

But... they all seem to be talking about him as if he's a striker.

Comes about when the opponent starts to print.

Matavz? He's their central striker? Don't they play Lens and Mertens on the wings either side of Matavz...? Weird.

EDIT: Just highlighted the word supersub. Maybe he doesn't want to be a sub anymore and wants to test himself against the best?

From what I've been reading on there, Lens plays as a "second striker" behind Matavz, but also comes off the bench in a variety of positions.

Mmhmm, he seems to be an attacking player that can play all across the front, either off the striker or on the wings.

Would definitely be useful. If we sign him can we harp on like Reading did with the Pog?

I've not watched the YouTube video (I refuse, it's part of a personal belief system) but you can surely tell how often he's wide from that?
