There’s people making things up all over socials. Boro fans are desperate to believe the rumours that suit them, Saints fans desperate to believe the ones that suit us. I highly doubt there will be leaks for this, when the panel come to their decisions it will be announced pretty quickly you’d think given the nature of the ****uation.

I don't disagree that Fibson will go for a legal resolution but, by the same token, I am convinced that the "spying operation" was not "official" Saints policy and this is the result of an intern misconstruing a comment by a more senior member of staff. I cannot believe for one moment any of the directors would have been in favour of this and the coaching staff would be aware of the 72hr rule regarding watching coaching sessions. I get the concern and appreciate exclusion can be seen as a option. I just feel that this will transpire as the actions of an individual misreading a comment by a colleague and thinking he can get away with being clever. If we really wanted to spy they would have sent scout or someone who knows about football.

Ed Chamberlin is a sports presenter - used to be sky but moved to itv racing.He’s also a Saints fan. He spoke to Steve Gibson at York races where boro were having a day out and Gibson told him what they understood the punishment to be. I 100% trust my mate that this is what Ed told him.

Mate he’s nothing to do with Sky anymore. He works for itv but is also just a Saints fan and speaks to my mate a lot (who owns a racehorse). Ed texted him as he had spoken to Gibson and Ayling at York races. Thar much is true. How Gibson would be in the know on the punishment I’ve no idea

Dunno - obviously this was a private text that I have only shared on here. I don’t do social media as I find it a toxic load of nonsense. However I’ve heard of other (non related) sources quoting the same ballpark punishment - including the audio clip that was posted on this thread. So it just seems that bit more plausible.

Well thanks I'd take it! But if I worked for ITV it would be on ITV and quite the scoop but that's just me
