Makes you think we are still on that game of Snakes and Ladders, in the neutral spaces, waiting for the next roll of the dice, throw a six and up the ladder you go , throw a one and down the snake you slide..............
It's easy to overlook, but the money which was owed to Kat in loans is now off the books. So the club is already better off.
Well they still owe me £40 I lost on me shares....they haven't paid me back yet........do you think I will get it now?
If it reassures people, someone who owns 20% of a £200m+ business still very much gets a say. I really struggle to understand people's negativity toward the arrangement of this deal, when we knew she was looking for a way out for quite a while.
Usmanov owns 30% of Arsenal and gets over ruled all the time. She of course has an input but the ultimate decision is not hers and Gao can completely ignore her if he chooses to. I am not moaning about the deal, as I have said before I am very neutral as we know nothing at this stage, I just have read comments on some articles saying that she is keeping 20% so all is fine and dandy which is bollocks.
Just reinforces my concerns, along with others....http://chinasportsinsider.com/2017/08/21/gao-jisheng-southampton-what-fans-can-expect/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It sounds realistic though....what we feel inside. The only thing holding us together is our faith in Katharina...and anyone can make mistakes. However, there is nothing we can do about it, so we have to go along with the fact that we are an asset and he is a businessman, so he can't wish us harm. Bearing that in mind, I choose to try and limit my worrying to the football on the pitch.
Bit of focus on Gao and Nelly not being 'sports people' too. Why does that matter? We have people in place to deal with the football side of things.
Katharina is not a 'sports person' but she has done OK. As long as they continue to employ football people I don't see how that matters too much.
I think it makes people question the reason behind the purchase. No real interest in sports suggests there is only a business reason for buying a football club....and most people investing 210 mill would be doing it for business reasons. Abramovich, on the other hand, wanted to own a football club. However, not a problem if we flourish along with the Gao's interests. Even Markus said he was in it to sell at a profit and have fun along the way...though for him it was a no brainer as we were a real bargain back then.
As you say no one spends £200m on Saints unless it's for business reasons. I think the commercial side of it may be what they are interested in but we will have to wait and see. They need the football side to do well for that.
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10449153/filing-history Taken from Saintsweb....Lander Sports (UK) have issued shares which Landers Sports (Hong Kong branch) have accepted in lieu of a debt owed (presumably, but not necessarily, the money lent by Landers HK to Landers UK to buy Saints).
