Though if you speak to Bournemouth fans, they say Lallana is from their academy.

 

Signed as a 16 year old academy scholar, and played in our academy though for a good few years. Very much a Saints academy graduate.

 

I don't understand this black & white logic; it's possible for a player to have played in more than one academy. In my mind, Lallana is an academy product of both Saints & Bournemouth. Like Stephens is a product of both Saints & Plymouth. Tella Arsenal & Saints etc.

 

He made my sub's bench.

 

That's 174 England caps (71 goals), 111 Welsh caps (41 goals), 9 Nigerian caps, 21 Irish caps just in my starting XI, not bad for a little south coast club.

 

Yep, but at the time I never thought of him, or Oxlade Chamberlain,or Nick Holmes and so many others

 

Pretty sure Morgan went into the academy for a while, so he counts for me.

 

Morgan? Nope. Straight into our first team, never played for the academy.

 

If we are including Mings then Ben White could come in as another defensive option

Or Musiala for midfield

 

Back then though best part of our first team was academy.

 

Mings was here in our youth set up for 8 years. That is longer than a lot of the ones we seem happy to accept! White also 8 years.
