Oh, unquestionably. if this were to work (and it won't, because this is the bleak and awful game thread), I'd have to find a way to make the next one even darker. If we manage a three-game winning streak, it'd probably be nothing but links to news stories about kittens with dread diseases. Spoiler: none of the kittens pull through.
Blimey. After reading that, I'll have to listen to a couple of Leonard Cohen albums to cheer myself up.
Dean Martin. He was the patron saint of happy clappers I think this is more a Why does it always rain in me situation
Bollocks to you lot. We are going to go there, frustrate the **** out of them and then nick it 0-2. If we get a third, Klopp will be gone on Monday and we can all start loooking forward to the "Ancelotti is going to make next year our year" for the rest of the season!!! For the record, I have pulled out the back of my sock draw, my lucky Saints socks. The wife threw them out about 18 months ago, however unbeknown to her, they somehow magicked their way out of the bin and to a safe hiding place at the back of the draw. They are back. All will be good again and we forget this morbid, NegHead attitude and begin the fight for Europe. Come on You Saints!
Sadio Mane will be assessed for his hamstring....I don't think he should be risked against Saints.....but in the spirit of the thread I will guess that he will rise like Lazarus from his deathbed.
In the spirit of things: - We'll get hammered (obviously). I'm going for double figures, probably high teens/low twenties. - Lovren will score. Twice. - No decisions will go our way, Pellegrino will get sent to the stands for pointing out the Mignolet drop-kick on Shane Long (for which Shane will get a straight red for simulation), banned until Xmas, and Saints will have to play their remaining games until then with Eric Black in charge. - Our best 1st team player on the day (Lemina, if fit), will stumble over a water bottle during the warm up and get an injury that will keep him out until 2018/2019 season. - Virgil will refuse to get on the bus, arguing that he's at his spiritual home, and that's where he's going to stay. - Not606 will get closed down due to North Korean hacking, and we'll have to go to Saintsweb or the Echo site for post-match discussion.
Why would you drop Virgil? Whether he's angling for a move or annoyed because Klopp took him out for dinner then didn't call him back (with a bid), he will be totally up for this.
Personally, I wouldn't drop him. But can you imagine the outcry when he misses a tackle that leads to a goal/makes the tackle that leads to a penalty? The Daily Echo crowd would be spitting out their Special Brew...
