Brilliant Schad: l suspect this will be the only thing about this game that will put a smile on my face!
This is Liverpool that didn`t take one goal off us in four games last season. Maybe it`s the game we need - rather than us having 60% posession, more attempts and either losing or drawing, lets do to them what Burnley, Watford etc have done to us. We have the players to do it.
Positive game threads didn't have the desired effect, so now we rend our garments and curse the heavens. Turn that smile upside down, Lemons and Oranges!
You had me until "We have the players to do it". I am not so sure the current squad have the fortitude in defence and dynamism in their teamwork going forwards to get us to the side that did so well against Liverpool last season and look a long way off the side that undeservingly lost to Utd in the Cup Final.
Unfortunately, I think LFC will gain some revenge for last year. Certainly hope not but ................
Yeah you could possibly argue that this game might suit us more. You could also argue that they're due a couple of goals against us and Klopp his first PL win. As it's a thread of doom I'll go for a tonking, can see Mane and Salah causing us problems. If they score early it could be a long afternoon...
I predict a 1-0 win but saints fans very unhappy because we did not score the goals that our domination suggested.
Going with the theme of the thread, Liverpool didn't score last season because they were saving all the goals they should have scored to release all at once in a massive tonking this weekend. 0-0
The first person to break ranks and be positive.....I couldn't post before because it would have been me.
http://football-talk.co.uk/130781/l...-as-key-man-emerges-as-doubt-for-southampton/ Mane may have aggravated his hamstring injury. We should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky.
Given their failure to score, in four matches last season, I am hoping they might go into this game with an air of frustration and either try to walk the ball into the net, or shoot from ridiculous distances (not you Couthino because you will probably score), and mess up. Can’t see us pushing too many players forward, in all honesty.
I am looking forward to boarding a plane at Heathrow at 12:30pm on Saturday that won't land until 10pm UK time. Being cut off from the outside world will be great. Not even tempted to order the WiFi. So looking forward to missing the tonking and the aftermath on here
I'm currently getting in the mood by reading this by a well known Skate.... please log in to view this image Whilst listening to this... Then later I'll be watching this....
We are going to get smashed. Their pace is going to destroy us. Reckon Mane and Salah could run up and down the pitch in the time it takes Forster to walk across his line and touch each post.
