Yeah I didn't want to judge him at all on todays game but it's an odd team selection so he will be getting both barrels from some if we get tonked.
Didn't have to worry about Mane and Salah then though. I reckon we'll be scared to cross the halfway line.
**** ME! Messi's not even on the bench! Manager out! Shane is fresh, Gabbi's not and Charlie probably pulled something the other night.
Maybe he's just trying to speed up his sacking. I've got no problem him thinking that Gabbi doesn't suit this formation. Fine. But change formation then. Don't drop him, and play Long instead. And having resisted almost all season to start Tadic, Boufal and Redmond together, he decides away to Liverpool might be a good game for it... But hey, this is (partly) just me not being in the best of moods when it comes to Saints right now. It's Liverpool away, they should be beating us regardless.
So the plan is to sit back and counter attack with our lethal goal scoring machine; Shane 'Sure-shot' Long.... something seems wrong with that somehow...
I'm still not convinced that he knows what he is doing with this team selection, but if he can get a result I will be happy.
How can a team gel and get better, if they don't play, week in, week out! I hope I am wrong, but I think we are going to get hammered!!!! I am in. Get rid of this guy. I am up at 8am on Saturday to watch a lineup like this!!!!
Gabbi can't be 100% otherwise he starts surely?? Tadic has to play on the left too, everyone can see he isn't suited on the right.
Which if JWP was in the side, or we went with a back five, or maybe even Stephens sitting in alongside Romeu, I could maybe understand. But playing Tadic, Boufal and Redmond all behind Long doesn't strike me as setting up to sit back. So I'm not quite sure what this is.
Lallana begged to be left out of the game, as its 'too soon.' On a brighter note, he turned up to the Nevea shoot.
Gabs would just run around for an hour not getting the ball. Lets put him on when we're losing and desperate to claw something back. Obs
