I’m past caring, that 9-0 has left me reeling like a punch drunk boxer. Maybe we’ll floor them with a wild swing out of nowhere. Maybe we’re already out for the count. Whatever will be will be.
Mahrez? Jesus? Ederson? Good thing that Pep rested Aguero up at the weekend, ahead of this double-header...
You're right - i expect the usual form - about 12 minutes of Adam Blackmore saying we've made a bright start, then city score, then city score some more.
Presumably Bravo starts in goal. With Walker, Otamendi, Foden, Aguero, and Mahrez all starting too, given that none of them started vs Villa. One of the Silva's - I'm not sure which (but neither played vs Atalanta) - would then make seven. So it's then up to Pep who strong he goes with the other four. I can't see Mendy starting for a third time in a week, so Angelino will presumably be one of those four. And this is just their league cup team. Let alone come Saturday!
Fortunately I’m missing tonight as off to see The Cult... ...in Portsmouth... ...on the guitarist’s guest list...who is a massive City fan...
Dunno who he`ll play - I would think Adams in for Ings, McCarthy for Gunn, and hopefully a place for Armstrong somewhere.
I'd be very surprised if Ings made way. In my book, that the reason why bringing him off at HT vs Leicester. But yes, McCarthy for Gunn is a given. And Armstrong for JWP I think is a strong possibility. Or possibly Armstrong for Bertrand, if it is again to be PEH who fills in for Ryan.
Time for my usual positive, happy-go-lucky contribution....this game can in no way affect our league position.
Just as I thought I was sitting on the rock bottom, you go and tell me there is a basement. Why would you do that?
