You can't build much on non-existent foundations.
Doesn't matter. Ralph should have been roasting them for the last 4 days non-stop. And they should be playing as though he has.
We look worse than a League Two side tonight. At least a lower league team would be running their f*cking arses off and sticking the boot in.
On another note, as with Friday, the fans have been quality. Keep going up there, you’ve made me proud as f*ck.

Sticking the boot in, like Ryan?
Running around, like Shane?
My expectations are low, we are playing in the Champions back yard a few days after a tonking.
I think that we are trying to cut out mistakes by the motto of just get rid of it. Which today is probably best. Let's get the previous game out of our system and judge this side based on the games after tonight.
Better than the Saints team!
I think you'll struggle at the weekend against an even stronger City side then.
You go all out trying to chase this lot on raw emotion then you get a Leicester repeat.
Hoping Sterling is out on the piss this week.
We will struggle anyway. I'm not expecting to get a result in either game. Just it would be nice to see some effort. It's only Tuesday now so I'm not buying the players-need-rest argument. Plus we will likely have half the team replaced. The City players look fit as f*ck compared to our lot.
This midfield, ugh. Horrible.
This is looking like another Valery/JWP/Bednarek suckfest.
McCarthy hasn't done anything shockingly awful. Hojbjerg appears to be doing his best playing while playing out of position and is doing an okay job for someone who shouldn't be playing where they're playing. Danso has been less horrible than Bednerak or Stephens. I guess those are plusses?
U23's only lost 1 - 2.
City are lightyears ahead of us fitnesswise, as well as obviously everywhere else.
I'd argue that we'd likely be more than 2 nil down if there was a real lack of effort. We just need to get through these two matches without incident and if we can nick something then great, but like you I'm not expecting it. Real work starts with Everton.
At least the cup run wasn't four nothing anyway.
Still no shots on target?
Dont think weve even touched the ball in their box?
3-0 now. ****e.
Wonder if we can go the full 180 minutes against City this week without one.
Any shots off target? Anything in their half?
We almost had an attack.
City are making us pass where they want us to pass.
That was unfortunate
Better than first half,
