But we could be owned by Bin Salman, and he wouldn't be able to spend any more because of the PSR limits. Hence why it's important to improve revenue elsewhere, which will allow us to spend more. Annoying, unfair and a nonsense, but them's the rules now. (And the £20m thing is some squiffy calculations too).
We sold a lot of players in 23/24 because we got relegated. We literally had to do that. Soon as we got promoted, we were on the spend again. If we had survived this year we'd be spending more. But alas, we are getting relegated, so we will have to sell. That isn't because Solak doesn't want to spend, please understand that. The rules prohibit it. Or do you want us to just break the rules? Also, Solak has invested a load into the club, for things other than just signing players. We're in a healthy financial state, because of him.
So Spors doesn't fancy doing anything now? He's content for us to lose every game until seasons end? Doesn't think he needs to chat to Dragan about how Juric is getting on?
Where do you the impression he isn't doing anything? He also said in his interview that he has spoken to the ownership group every day since starting - I'd say it's safe to assume the manager situation may have been mentioned once or twice.
I won’t even start to judge him until after the summer transfer window has shut, new manager, and new players to come in, and get rid of the dross…..that’s a lot of work for him. Just hope we don’t do our business late as we have done before.
Well if we're not expecting absolutely anything from him at all until the summer then why are we paying him, what I can only assume to be a very handsome wage, for 5 months?
Surely you know the answer to that. He will be putting everything together for next season. Which players do we want to sell, loan out, what positions do we need to recruit in, which players to scout before the summer. Analysing current staff and making decisions on new staff to recruit, including the new manager. I get things are **** but you need to hold judgement on Spors until at least the window has closed. His main job is getting the right people in, on and off the pitch. That won't happen until the summer.
He has a lot of work to do, not going to happen overnight. I would imagine transfer targets list is being assembled and manager wish list etc.
He is clearly assessing the situation in depth, and working out a long term plan. Now is not the time for knee jerk reactions.
