There's a part of me that agrees with LTL, but being part of a global brand is part of the next step up for Saints, even is it doesn't yield stupendous utterly amounts of money, which it may have done anyway. I mean, [another example] would anyone rather have Standard Chartered [who.?] written on the chest.? We did the dodgy banking/insurance thing years ago with Friends Provident. The only thing that truly spoilt that shirt.
Under Armour and Virgin Media are two forward-thinking and high profile companies. Good work, Ralph, Gareth and the commercial/marketing team.
Most importantly, their logo is fairly unobtrusive, and fits the colour scheme. No giant block of clashing colours or busy nonsense, yay!
We've got Van Dijk Virgin and Van Dijk I just don't think you understand The Virgin Media man Has got a masterplan We've got Virgin and Van Dijk
Indeed. Board members and staff doing their usual outstanding performance. I have to say that Gareth Rogers is brilliant at what he does. Has won awards for his business acumen, and while at Saints too. And Ralph has turned out to be such a great find, with his motivation, overall eye for detail, and his many contacts. If I have any tiny criticism [carping, I know, but here goes] it's that we appear to lack a nasty deal maker since Cortese left. We could have done with him dealing with Koeman's agent. However, I'm pleased as punch with the Board at present. Pushing the club forward, as per usual, now. I just might change my broadband to Virgin too. I've been on the cusp of doing it for a few years and that might be the straw.
I read through that TSS and I can summarise what I read here: blah blah blah blah .. Koeman's agent... blah blah blah blah,... punch!!
I used to be a Virgin Media cable broadband and TV customer when I lived in Bedfordshire and had absolutely no complaints (that was 9 years ago). When I moved back to Wales I stuck with Virgin broadband (non-cable) and still had no complaints. their customer support centre was 10 miles away and were very helpful. The only reason I'm no longer a customer (now with BT) is that they sold their non-cable products to TalkTalk. I'd certainly recommend Virgin Media, TSS. Sorry, I know it's off-topic.
No, that's fine. I like information, and the subject is about our club sponsor after all. I am also a sold-on customer to Talk-Talk, and whilst I don't have any complaints with them, I do think I might be able to get a very similar deal with Virgin if I move my phone contract from Three [who are actually very good too]. My house has fibre optic right up to the socket. Seems a shame to waste the undoubted extra speed, although it isn't as dramatic in practice as broadband providers would have us believe. Anyway, we'll see.
BT have no choice but to show our EL games. And in terms of PL, there's the 10 game minimum for everyone. I'm a big fan of this announcement.
The very lovely Mrs Godders signed us up for the full media and telephone package only a couple of weeks ago. That must have just tipped their income stream up to a level where they could afford to sponsor the Saints.
