Great chance for Barnes now, Chelsea's defender makes a save from the line virtually.

On the other side, Britt does great to deny Solanke.

You spoiled it for me, on my video Chelsea scored only now. I was wondering how are we going to concede with only a minute left on the clock. It was a terrible backpass by Debayo (who hasn't impressed me tonight).

Simms had two great chances in the end.

Overall, it was a fairly even match. This Chelsea team is superb.

I feel really sorry for the Chelsea youth players. They have **** all chance of making the first team at the moment apart from the odd cup game. I'm really pleased we have a great academy and the youth players have a genuine shot here.

Some of their players are on about 15k a week. I bet under 20% make the first team tho.

Not great, for someone with a contract to play for.

Judging by two last matches I saw him in, he won't get it.

Maybe he was poor because he was playing in through the middle, which probably isn't his preferred position. But that's the thing with us, we give our players the opportunity to learn how to play in different position, in expense of the result. Tonight we played much better when Sims came on for Sinclair , and Gallagher moved from the wing to the middle.

Don't feel all that bad. Most earn loads more then we do a year.

Sorry about that. Didn't realise you were on a time delay :emoticon-0158-time:

Yeah Chelsea and Man City's youth teams are very good, but barely any of them will make the grade to be a regular player at either club. I didn't realise that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs didn't enter the u21 cup that Saints won. Takes the shine off it a little bit :(

None of those teams enter the JPT, but no shine taken of that ...

..."Johnstone's Paint Trophy, they'll never win that"

Not really, they just knew our kids would beat them, so saved themselves the embarrasment.

No, it doesn't. All the records will say is that we won the cup. And lovely big (not really) and shiny it is too. :)

Great article on BTSports just now about JWP and some good interviews with him and Jose.

He is a good lad. I forgot he missed three months with a broken foot this year.
