1 - 0 Valery, just before half time. Somehow managed to squeeze a shot between 5 defenders, doubt the keeper could see a thing.

Jack Rose needs to have his gloves investigated for magnets, balls keep going straight to them 
FT, 2 - 0. took our chances in the first and some excellent defending in the second half against a team that's only lost once this season.

Another lesson learned from this match....don't head butt Matty Targett. He gets up and just rubs his head and you will be flattened for a long time and probably concussed.
Saints U23 currently 7th in PL2 league but with only half the points of Middlesbrough who top the group (13 v 26). And remember we are in a lower group after being relegated last season. However, we top the Cup League after beating Blackburn (who are 2nd in the PL2 league). Saints U18s are 5th in the U18s Southern group.....Chelsea are top
Interesting stat, there have been 21 goals in the last 4 matches for the u23s, 11 for and 10 against. It was 19 in 3 before yesterday.
Talents been there but we've just been almost too agressive in chasing the points and conceded too many. It's like we lack experience being the big boys in a league.
Yesterday was a big improvement with some solid defending against s team that has only lost once this season.
He does when possible....and he should. A certain Dutchman often didn't bother.
