Went along and glad I did, I didn't expect that sort of score but it was a strong line up. All going well until they switched off for ten minutes after half time with a rash of misplaced passes and a couple of rickets from Big Mac in goal, Frasers position doesn't look threatened after that! Good to see Jake back, but the Nukes seemed to think he was just there to be kicked. Lots of positives and JWP's delivery was causing mayhem all evening and the free kick was sublime. Slattery has a bit of Spider about him and could well be very good with more experience. Tyreke went through their defence like a dose of salts, good finish too. Hojpoj didn't do his chances any harm either.

There are so many players in there pushing first team selection. I would like to see Hoj and Lemina out there together for sure. JWP is overdue for a return to the side and hesketh as number 10 sounds good for a tryout. They do know where the net is!

I would like to see Redmond do what Tyreke Johnson did, when scoring his goal. Go at the defender at full pace. Johnson went past the full back as though he wasn’t there, with good ball control and a very, very good finish.
Is there some hope that we might be developing some better strikers/attacking midfielders?

What really frustrates me about Redmond, is i know he has the capabilites, but he's just not showing it.

Just looking at the team for the closed door fixture and it's interesting because we've clearly started using a two tier system for our u23's

We have the one which is comprised of players which are reserve first teamers or very close to being there such as Valery, Hesketh and Slatery.
This team has appeared in the u23 league a few times and in friendlies.

Then we use a completely separate team made up of u23 players and u18's breaking into the u23s.
So we get the likes of will wood and O'conner alongside harlem hale or hansen.
This team has appeared in the cup games, u23 league and last night's friendly.

Definitely seems to be a rethink of our strategy following the relegation. Or at least having no league cup to play our better players in.

Its the younger u23 team + Gardos. Didn't know Little could play LB.
7pm KO, i don't think its being streamed, but it looks like Norwich will have text commentary.
