My understanding is, and I stand to be corrected, it is an under 21 side with the exception of the goalie.. Them is the rules..
Yeah and all the senior B team players count as U21 as none of them are taking up a place in our PL squad. Seems a good opportunity to play missed for them.

I won’t copy and paste it, but there’s a piece on The Athletic this week about the B team and the coach David Horseman. Goes into explaining why results for the youth sides haven’t been great and what they are trying to do at the moment. There’s definitely a clear vision and plan but, similar to the first team, it’s going to take time. Horseman said again that results are not the focus. I got the sense that it would be possible to set up teams that can grind out wins, but the goal is instead to get players mentally, tactically and physically ready to step up to the first team. Ralph and first team coaches are heavily involved too.
