Just watched the full video of Wesley's introductions....somehow missed it before. Poor Ross Wilson having taller people lean on his shoulders....not that they are trying to make him look small or anything. :) And I loved Hoedt's reaction when he saw how close the fans were to the pitch.
'No barriers? The fans can just walk onto the pitch.'
'We don't have that a lot.'
'Wouldn't happen in Italy.'<laugh>

Probably nothing but perhaps it means Gardos might stay after all?

There is not space in the 25 for all the centre backs and a new attacking player unless said player is under 21

There is no point in keeping him. I can see him being played in u23s until his contract expires next year.

We have:

Van Dijk
Hoedt
Stephens
Yoshida
Bednarek
Jones

I wouldn't be surprised if Gardos and Yoshida were both off at the end of their contracts.

We might not have much choice. Maya either wants a bigger contract than we are offering or a free move back to Japan. If Vvd has another good season, clubs will be que'ing up to buy him.

We will just do want we usually do, sell high and replace we better prospects.

I could be wrong but I would think we've probably offered Yoshida some sort of extension by now. If he wants to go we can't stop him.

Also depends how others develop. If Yoshida ends up 4th choice this season behind Stephens and Bednarek adapts well we may be okay just promoting from within and signing a van Dijk replacement.
